Winter Support

With the temperature starting to drop, it’s never too early to start thinking about your LPG supply. If this is your first winter with AvantiGas, or you’re one of our many longstanding customers - we’re here and ready, when you need us. Please read the below information and help us in helping you this winter.


Placing an order

Manual Customers
-Delivery timescales during winter are 10-15 working days from placing an  order. If you’re worried about running out of gas, give us a call when you reach your trigger level.

Forecasted Customers
You never have to place an order! We’ll keep an eye on your consumption levels and deliver to you in plenty of time. However, to ensure peace of mind, you can always update your gauge reading here at MyAvantiGas.


What is a trigger level?

A trigger level is what we use to determine when your next delivery is needed. Your trigger level is calculated based on the amount of gas you use and how you use it!


Manual ordering customer

If you’re a manual customer, we’re now able to accept orders at 40%. If your gauge is reading is 40% or less, now’s the time to place your order online.

Forecasted Customers

Deliveries for forecasted customers are automatically placed when you reach your trigger level. However, with an unusual year your gas usage  may have changed, please keep your gauge reading updated via the MyAvantiGas portal.


What are the benefits of MyAvantiGas?

Gain online access to your account, be able to update your gauge reading, review orders and invoices – and make payments online. If you haven’t already signed up, now’s the perfect time to manage your account through MyAvantiGas. 

Need to reset your password?

Remember your password must:

  • Be between 8-10 characters 

  • Contain an uppercase letter, a number, and a special character

  • Must NOT contain '£' symbol


Delivering in the colder months

If you’re worried our drivers might not reach you – don’t be. We know that the colder weather means drivers will have to take things a little easier on the road, that’s why we’ve put plans in place to see you through winter. What’s more, all our drivers are qualified to the highest level to ensure they’re able to navigate through any tricky roads when the snow falls.


Looking after your tank in winter

Looking after your tank and it’s surrounding area throughout the year is vital for us to deliver safely. However as winter approaches and weather conditions change, this can require a little more care. We ask that you check the installation and surrounding areas and do what you can to keep areas clear, unfortunately any issues may result in us not being able to deliver.
  • Our driver needs to have sight of both the tank and the delivery vehicle at the same time. Are there any obstructions in the way which can be moved?​
  • Are there any areas of high risk of slips and trips, such as vegetation which could be cut back or could rock salt be spread if it’s icy?
  • Is there any vegetation which could block access for our driver which could be cut back?
  • Is the area around the tank clear of flammable materials such as fallen leaves, or waste and rubbish?
  • Is the access roads and driveways clear enough for our delivery vehicle?

Worried we won’t get to you in time?

Manual Customer
The best thing you can do to ensure you’re never without gas is to place your order when your gauge reading reaches 25%. To guarantee further peace of mind ahead of winter, we’re now allowing manual customers to place orders at 40%.

Forecasted Customer
You can always check your consumption levels online via My AvantiGas. Even if your level is low, rest assured your consumption is monitored and we will reach you good time.


Making payments

If you’re simply wanting to make a payment for an outstanding balance on your account, avoid long phone lines by paying via your MyAvantiGas portal. You can also now make payments through our automated telephone system. Have your account number to hand and press option one on our normal freephone number. 

How to take your gauge reading

You will find your gauge underneath a protective cap on the top of the tank. If you have an underground tank, it will be under the hood. For those who receive our automated service, it is vital that your gauge reading has been updated on a monthly basis to allow us to give you an accurate supply of gas. Need to restart your gas supply? Watch this video to follow the steps on how you can reset your regulator. Make sure you have your operations manual or guide that came with your appliances.
