Health and Safety Guidelines

Keep access routes to your property, such as driveways, overhanging trees and hedgerows well maintained and clear for delivery vehicles
Keep your tank and areas surrounding clear of vegetation and any obstacles so our drivers can access safely
Ensure your tank is positioned at least 3 metres away from any unsealed drains, gullies or decking. LPG is heavier than air so any leaks will accumulate in areas without adequate ventilation
If you choose to wash your tank, do so with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly to avoid corrosion
Do not build over pipework to and from the tank
Buildings, outbuildings sheds greenhouses should be placed at least 3 metres away from your tank
Ensure your Emergency Control Valve (the lever on your pipework) is on the external boundary wall of your property, and accessible at all times

Ensure the lid of your underground tank is not surrounded by concrete – this will prevent us from testing the cathodic protection (which prevents tank rust)
Tank lids must not be within 3 metres of any decking and not be covered, altered or damaged
Water or sediment should not be present in the tank lid
