Leading LPG supplier supports national business with local focus and passes on savings to customers
AvantiGas, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of LPG to off-grid properties, is taking its commitment to local communities one step further with the announcement of its latest partnership. The company, which supplies LPG to homes and lpg in bulk for businesses in the UK, has recently joined up with BigBarn, the UK’s number one local food website, in a bid to support its mission to ensure consumers have easy access to locally grown food.
BigBarn supports local businesses by helping people find good quality and accountable food from local sources. Having worked across mostly rural communities in the UK since its inception, AvantiGas saw this as the perfect opportunity to support these key communities while promoting the idea of shopping local.

The website has grown exponentially since its inception, and now hosts the details of 7,000 businesses, such as farmers’ markets, butchers, bakers, and farm shops across the UK. Allowing consumers to buy direct from suppliers online, or find details of local markets and shops where locally grown food can be purchased, it ensures producers receive a fair price for their goods and savings are passed on to consumers.
BigBarn is also on a mission to encourage children to get involved in growing their own produce. Having successfully worked with Woodstock Primary School in Leicester to encourage learning through growing vegetables, the team has started a petition to put food growing, cooking and nutrition at the core of the school curriculum.
