How do I take a gauge reading?

Your gauge shows what percentage of your tank is full. At its fullest, your gauge will read around 85%. It will never read 100%, because of the nature of LPG. You’ll find it under a protective cap on top of the tank, or if you have an underground tank, under the hood.

Please note: If your tank is at 0% when you receive a delivery, the driver will switch off your supply as a safety measure (just in case any gas appliances have been left on within your property).

If this is the case, your driver will always leave a note advising you of this as well as information on how to switch your supply back on.

The lower portion of the gauge may be highlighted in red simply to indicate you may need to place an order shortly.

Please be aware this does not mean you are at risk of running out of gas.

To update your gauge reading, simply go to your AvantiGas MyAccount and enter this online.If you haven’t registered for the portal and would like to, please click the link below. Alternatively, contact our customer service team on 0808 208 0000.
