AvantiGas celebrates safety in a charitable way
October 2018 - Charities to benefit from AvantiGas' health and safety record.
Within the LPG industry, health and safety is paramount. So, in a bid to encourage employees to take the correct steps to minimise an incident, national LPG supplier, AvantiGas, operates a charitable donation scheme. Offering employees the chance to make a big difference to countless charities throughout the year, the American-owned business puts £1 in a pot for each 100-hour period worked without a RIDDOR-reportable incident, with each employee given the opportunity to nominate a charity to receive a percentage of the fund.
With three nominations from the business last quarter, the company is delighted to announce it has raised an impressive £6259.79, and chosen the worthy causes to receive a share of the money:
Redr UK gives NGOs, aid workers and communities the skills to prepare for, respond to, and recover from major disasters like earthquakes, floods, conflict and drought. Working in partnership with other charities that are well known for fundraising, Redr UK builds the engineering skills for people to put the funding to use.
TOFS (Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula Support) is dedicated to improving the lives of those born with the TOF condition. Established for nearly forty years, they provide one-to-one support and information and resources to families affected by the condition. Through this, they have been helping families through the challenges of bringing up a child with TOF/OA, VACTERL and associated conditions.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Through research and support, the society is a nationwide charity that is dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by dementia.
Each charity detailed above will receive the funds over the coming weeks, ensuring they continue to provide help and support.
